This pretty obscure group from North Carolina was formed in the mid 60s by trumpeter Dick Knight and only seems to have cut just this one disc for Raleigh based Jimmy Capps' JCP concern. As befitting a group led by a horn man “Baby Don’t Go” is a big brassy uptempo item. The super a side ListenTroubles Like Mine also has that lovely prominent horn sound behind a singer who delivers a vocal with some fine bluesy touches and a very good sense of rhythm. I like this one a great deal.
